There is an alarming rate of HIV/AIDS among Baltimore City youth. Additionally, there are no enforced programs for students to be educated about the dangers of unprotected sex.

Proposed Solution

The Studio launched a youth-centric program to address the epidemic of sexually transmittable diseases. In partnership with the Maryland Public Health Department, we gathered Baltimore youth for the continuous process of discovery, insight, conceptual, and testing to develop “Stay Sexy, Stay Healthy, Get Checked.”

Retrospective

We won a lot of support among the youth of Baltimore, however, our grant hit the end of its runway. The failure of execution of any inventive project will succumb to poor timing, lack of resources, or bureaucratic barrier. However, it doesn’t mean that we still can’t draw analysis from our research for other health problems in Baltimore.
